You Can Never Think Too Highly of the Lord!

“I am the LORD; that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images” (Isaiah 42:8).

I love reading through the book of Isaiah. There is something so very powerful and refreshing about reading God’s promises as well as the revelation of His glory. God’s majesty and awesomeness are inexpressible. God reveals Himself as Jehovah or Yahweh, “The Self-Existent One.” As a believer it is a joy and privilege to belong to Him. I want you to really remember this truth throughout your day today. Regardless of where you are, or how busy you become, begin to grasp this one fact for today. You can never think too highly of God. In the day of Isaiah, God thundered that He alone is God and He will not share His glory. The Lord Jesus promised us that someday we believers will behold His glory (John 17:24). That’s right, we can never think too highly of God.

For today: Keep me focused, dear Lord, on your great glory. It will change the way I view everything today.
