“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).
A family was driving along together before the days of GPS. They were excited about going to visit their friends who were transferred in his work. “The directions say to turn right on Broad Street, but that doesn’t sound right to me,” said Dad. “That would take us east, and I know we need to head west. He must have written the direction wrong,” Dad concluded. “Honey, don’t you think it would be wise to follow the directions?” his wife quietly asked. “Probably it would be wise,” her husband conceded. Sure enough, even though it didn’t sound right, those were indeed the correct directions. He was so glad he didn’t go by his feelings. He followed the directions.
For today: Follow what God says. He knows the way, and you can trust Him.
