“Nebuchadnezzar the king, unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you. I thought it good to show the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me. How great are His signs! and how mighty are His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation” (Daniel 4:1-3).
Do you think we will see Nebuchadnezzar in Heaven? I do. God took this arrogant, braggadocios tyrant through a massive attitude adjustment as the kingdom was taken from him and he was punished severely for seven years (4:4-35). At God’s appointed time, the kingdom was restored to him (4:36). Hence Nebuchadnezzar praises the true and the living God (4:37). The lessons are profound, among which are the lessons on pride. To anyone who is proud, I have just one word. Beware! God knows how to deal with this as well as the matter of trusting His sovereignty. The biggest kingdoms on earth are very tiny to the Lord. He is in charge.
For today: What are you facing today? It may seem impossible to you, but God can easily handle it. Really! Watch Him!
