“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness” (Isaiah 41:10).
In the best of times as well as in the worst of times, we believers have the assurance of the presence of the Lord. We have the confidence He gives as He speaks of His personal relationship with us. If that isn’t enough, He promises to help us! What tremendous blessings are given to the believer! It’s amazing how this verse plays out in daily living. Christopher had a difficult dental appointment and whispered this verse on the way into the office. Jennifer was to take her driver’s test and claimed it. Carolyn had an appointment with a couple whose child had become disruptive in her class. She was very concerned about the appointment and reminded herself of this verse. Alexander moved the throttle as the eighty-two car freight train slowly started moving. He had a difficult conductor in the cab for eight hours. He quietly prayed, and this verse came to his mind.
For today: What are your circumstances, and how will this play out in your life?
