“To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen” (Romans 16:27).
What an incredible book is Romans. In Chapter 16, Paul concluded his writings with great statements of appreciation and affection for those who were fellow servants in the Lord. Today many know the Apostle Paul. However, very few know of Sosipater (Romans 16:21) or Tertius (Romans 16:22) or Quartus (Romans 16:23). These were pointed out by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit as those through whom the Lord was working and building His Church. Why was the Lord working and building His Church, you might ask? Well, the answer is the same today. The Lord is building His Church so that His glory will be revealed and His purposes fulfilled. That’s why Paul concluded with “To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever.” How will this play out in your life today? Be sensitive for ways to seek God’s wisdom and to glorify Him. It will make a big difference in your day.
For today: Thank you, Lord, for building your people into that which will honor You and glorify You forever.
