Friday April 17th Update
“We Are Blessed Indeed”
Thanks for stopping by to check in on Karen. We have friends who not only stop by to see how Karen is doing, but they also pray for her. Your prayers are being answered. Today is a good day! Karen slept well. She has a good appetite. The pain in her joints is starting to improve. But perhaps the best news for the day comes in her pleurix catheter draining this morning. She is down to 30ml and this was last drained two days ago. When we first began the draining process, it was around 600ml every day. So needless to say we are very thankful to the Lord for this.
She is reaching her maximum susceptibility to infections and viruses. If the cancer was located anywhere other than her lung, catching a cold may not be such a big deal. But with the mass being in her lung, our medical team has asked us to take extra precautions and avoid being in any kind of crowd yet this weekend. So we will worship the Lord together at home. But unless you are sick, I hope that you will be blessed in your corporate worship with the Lord’s people this Sunday.
We are so blessed with the many wonderful cards and notes that we are receiving. Today the folks at Central Baptist Church of Binghamton, New York sent us a huge card and gift. Everyone wrote a little note and encouragement to us on this gigantic card. Central was the last church I pastored and they have become our commissioning church as missionaries. Thank you to everyone who is walking along with us on the journey. We are the recipients of many expressions of love. We so appreciate each of you.
