“And for this thing I besought the Lord three times, that it might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
Paul is sharing about his “thorn in the flesh” with the church at Corinth. He testifies that he asked the Lord on three separate occasions to please take the infirmity away. We do not know what the “thorn” was, but it was something that Paul really, really wanted the Lord to remove. God simply reminded him that “My grace is sufficient.” He was actually telling Paul that He was going to allow something to remain in his life that would cause him to rely upon the Lord, trust Him, and fully depend upon His strength to keep going. It’s called “God’s grace.” I don’t know what you are facing today; however, I can assure you that God’s grace is sufficient for you. It really is.
For today: Think of the word “sufficient.” It means enough. Whatever you face, God’s grace will be enough.
